6 Books I'm Thankful For...

Personally, 2016 has been a struggle, but I am definitely thankful for books that helped get through difficult episodes of my life. This year I am thankful for these books for giving me hope, for giving another perspective, for giving inspiration when I needed it most. To all the authors, you have no idea how much I love your books, how I wish everyone I know would read it. Thank you for sharing your story. Keep on writing! Forever thankful for your books~

Where Am I Now? by Mara Wilson | Add to Goodreads |

For those of you that would say that this is just another book written by a celebrity, you are definitely wrong! I'm really not into memoirs, but Mara's book is so real and authentic. I feel her pain and struggles. Her stories are very relatable. I listened to the audiobook, but I got a paperback to love and hug. Thank you Mara for reminding me that I am not alone.

Adulthood Is a Myth by | Add to Goodreads |

THIS IS SUCH A CUTE GRAPHIC NOVEL! Every adult can definitely relate to this funny, but true scribbles about adult life.

It's totally hilarious. It's totally so me. Great book if you are in a reading slump and do not know what to read next. You will see yourself smiling and agreeing with Sarah's Scribbles. Don't miss this exceptional book. Must read!

Buffering by | Add to Goodreads |

Prior to reading the book, I don't follow Hannah Hart's Youtube and/or social media platforms. I read her book because she got nominated on the 2016 Goodreads Choice Awards. I did not know who to vote so I listened to her book first.

Her experiences were very relatable. And man, she can write! To those who doubted her back then, sorry, she's famous now. I hope she writes more books. Her memoir felt really raw and organic. Here you will see a genuinely honest Hannah sharing all her Hart.

The Bye-Bye Bouquet by | Add to Goodreads |
OMG! So much love for The Bye-Bye Bouquet! If you are feeling down, this feel-good book will definitely make you smile. It's short, but sweet romantic read. An excellent debut that will make you feel all the feels! 5/5

The Memory Book by | Add to Goodreads |

I admit I almost gave up on The Memory Book because I wasn't rooting for the main character and this guy, but then, it made sense in the end. So, I'm now crying happy tears for my ship! This book made me cry. I do not want to spoil anything so just go read this book. The main character has NPC and it's like Alzheimer's disease for younger people. She writes so she won't forget. Her narrative is very personal so you will definitely feel her struggles of slowly losing her memories. I told myself not to cry, but yeah, I couldn't help it. Lara Avery, what have you done to me?!   5/5

Penny in London by | Add to Goodreads |

I really loved Fisher Amelie's latest offering. Penny in London is a light and entertaining read. Just what I wanted and I needed. Nothing too heavy! A perfect summer read!

Penny in London made me smile and it reminded me on the important things in life. You only need your family and friends. Besides, what's meant to be, will be. If you are a fan of contemporary books, do not pass this up! This book is something you can read again and again.

Whether you need an awesome beach read or you just need a wonderful book on a rainy day, this is for you! Go buy and hug this book!
